Passionate cheese maker Di Piggott’s love of cheese started when she was a young child sitting on her father’s knee eating chunks of cheese ‘like a piece of cake’.
As a third-generation dairy farmer and second-generation cheese maker, Di is lucky enough to be living her dream and her dream life revolves around discovering different ways to take cheese to the next level.

Where is Awassi Queensland?
This delightful farm is located in the beautiful Lockyer Valley. Nestled in the tranquil Helidon Hills and surrounded by Avocado groves, the natural ambience of the property lends itself to the gentle lifestyle that is Awassi.
While Awassi Queensland is in its infancy stage, Di and David continue to develop the amazing breed of their Awassi sheep to Australian conditions.
As the herd grows, the business expansion will include a purpose-built cheesery, milking parlour, and farm outlet.
Di and husband David’s desire is for you to be excited with their cheese and to enjoy the full experience of what goes into making a handcrafted cheese.
