About Bannock Brae Meats
Our story begins over 100 years ago when William Willis (Kieren’s great-great grandfather) settled on “Erinvale” at Meringandan.
“Erinvale” is mainly grazing country with two creeks meandering through it, making it the perfect place to breed and raise our cattle. There is also ample cultivation to produce our hay and grain requirements. “Bannock Brae”, a neighbouring property, was originally owned by Samuel, William’s brother.
We made it our home in 2001 and established our fully accredited butcher shop on it in 2005 – hence the name, “Bannock Brae Meats”. Kieren, a 5th generation cattle producer, combines his love of farming and beef cattle production with his expertise in butchering to bring his customers the best possible product at the best possible price. As a farmer, Kieren runs a top line of limousin-cross cattle as well as growing crops for hay and grain supplies to keep his herd in excellent condition.
As a butcher, Kieren and his team strive for excellence, consistently providing top quality hormone-free beef, lamb, chicken & pork that keeps the customers coming back for more. Bannock Brae Meats is 100% Aussie. We are passionate about supporting Australian farmers, and source our surplus beef, pork, chicken and lamb requirements from local Aussie farmers. We also specialize in delicious traditional wood-smoked ham, bacon and smallgoods, all prepared on our premises.
We are committed to making your experience with Bannock Brae Meats the best that it can be with our easy online ordering system. All orders are tailored to the customer’s requirements.
We also now have a retail shopfront in Highfields. Our shop is open between 12pm and 6pm Monday to Fridays and 8.30am to 12pm on Saturdays. In keeping with our theme, it is a butcher shop with a difference. Call in and see our great range and talk to our friendly team.
Our passion is to provide fresh-from-the-farm, top quality meat at affordable prices to everyday families just like ours.
