As a mum of 7 children Jen Shaw is busy…real busy! But that hasn’t stopped her from pursuing her passion which is to educate as many people as she can on the importance of having a healthy relationship with food.
After living the first 23 years of her life fighting depression and anxiety Jen accidentally stumbled across this crazy idea that the food we eat, and the way we live have a huge impact on our health and happiness.
We were delighted to join Jen (pictured above with guest Freyja Benson) at the recent launch of her latest book “Living on Little” a showcase of her favourite family recipes which proves wholeheartedly that you can eat delicious and wholesome meals free from refined sugar, gluten & preservatives on a budget!
In Jen’s latest book you will find recipes like beef, bacon & leek stew, almond crumbed chicken, loaded sweet potatoes, creamy Thai pumpkin soup and grain free chocolate pudding (yummo) just to mention a few.
These wholesome meals will not only please the fussiest eaters, they are affordable and taste delicious. For more information on Jen Shaw; her upcoming workshops and fabulous cookbooks visit her website www.barefootkitchens.com.au (Photos for this article by Studio Jullene – FB @studiojullene)
