There’s nothing like a little road trip to the country and that’s exactly what we decided to do for the Dine Darling Downs Spring Lunch Club taking our guests “on tour” to Rosalie House Cellar Door and Vineyard at Lilyvale, a short 20 minute drive from Toowoomba.
When we arrived a mouth-watering share style menu was served on the veranda overlooking the vineyard including grazing board starters of local handcrafted small goods from Toni’s Continental Butchers, Lockyer Valley cheeses and fresh figs served with our guests choice of Rosalie House Pinot Gris or Rose’.
This was followed by succulent slow cooked Darling Downs beef from Beef City, beautifully presented with seasonal farm fresh vegetables and 2011 Rosalie House Shiraz. What a feast!
For dessert, a simple creamy cheesecake featuring Hampton Blue organic blueberries was the final touch to a wonderful afternoon of great company, music, food and wine.
These events are run by Dine Darling Downs specifically to showcase the very best our region has to offer as a foodie destination and our talented local chefs who can create the most amazing menu’s using produce grown right on our doorstep!
