Start by heading in to see Dan at The Finch in Ruthven St for an awesome Fonzie Abbott coffee to start the weekend right! Then head over to the Farmers Markets next to Cobb & Co Museum to say G’Day to a local farmer and pick up some of the best produce you will find, seriously, we grow some of the best in the world right here on the Darling Downs.


Head down to Fitzy’s Hotel in Margaret St where chef Brendan will cook you one of the best steak Sanger’s you will ever eat! Rib Fillet, crisp salad, melted cheddar, beetroot & onion jam all served on a toasted bun with crunchy fries. Tip: Wash it down with a craft beer, they have plenty on tap, or choose a good Australian Shiraz!

On the way home?

Call in to Toni’s Continental Butcher & Small goods in Herries St for one of their mouthwatering platters to take home. At Toni’s they make all of their delicious small goods in house from traditional family recipes, absolutely delicious.


If the sweet cravings bite, then Hot Waffles at Gelatissimo will definitely do the trick, find them in Margaret St, they serve coffee too, but our fave is the salted caramel gelato, hard to stop at just one scoop!
